  4. Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes was in my top 3 choices because I felt that the topic of mental health between the book and todays society is relatable for many. In today's world, if you are not the skinniest or prettiest, you are usually seen as less, just like in this book so far. I have enjoyed this book, though I am only 50 pages in. It has been non-stop action, making me wonder what the narrators next moves will be, as he is in the hospital visiting his friend, whom he "stayed fat for".

I enjoy the sports background and the team effort and team chemistry these kids have. It reminds me of the team chemistry our football team had this year.

  40. I was sick the day we picked our books, so I didn’t get to choose mine, but I ended up in the group reading Chinese Handcuffs. At first I was kind of confused because the book jumps around a bit but now it’s starting to make a lot more sense. I’m actually really liking it so far. The characters are going through a lot, and it’s getting interesting.

  41. I chose the book Chinese Handcuffs because to me it looked like one of the smaller books and I don't enjoy reading all that much but that's not the only reason I chose the book when I was reading the handout for the book it really caught my eye and sounded really interesting to me but overall I'm happy with my chaise even Tho the beginning of the book was really confusing it was jumping all over the place but the more I read the better it gets and I'm excited to read more and find out what happens.

  42. I chose Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes because the handout immediately pulled me in and the story seemed interesting to me. It was in my top three choices because I usually wouldn’t pick a book this long, but I wanted to try something different from the genres I normally read. So far, I’m happy with my choice, it’s a very engaging and enjoyable book. The only challenge is that it can be a little hard to tell when the story switches between flashbacks and the present, because the transitions happen pretty suddenly.

  44. I chose the book Running Loose and so far, I've got nothing bad to say about this book, the plot is good, there hasn't been any boring parts, and the main character is an enjoyable "narrator". The reason why this book made my top 3 is because i think ive always been drawn to the books involving sports, i feel as if they are just much more interesting than some other books and theres always something going on in them, and with this book there is already some drama brewing up involving injuring an opposing teams star player so this book right now for me is very intriguing and i dont find myself getting bored at all.

  45. I chose the book running loose, the book is great and the plot is very solid. I can barely find a part that bores me. Everything the book offers is great. I chose this book because it was a sports focused book which I like a lot myself. The book also doesn't confuse me at all, I understand every part. Theirs been plenty suspenseful parts. Such as the rivals star player getting hurt by one of the main athletes in the book.
